Why can't I use my HSA/FSA card to purchase a gift card?

Gift cards do not qualify under Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) guidelines. Should you attempt to use a credit or debit card associated with an HSA or FSA for the purchase, the transaction will likely be declined by your HSA/FSA administrator, leaving you responsible for the payment. Please note, Duration Health is unable to provide refunds for such attempts.
